Alpha Workshops just launched a new collection of textured wallpapers in the Dennis Miller showroom in the New York Design Center. The organization was founded to teach people with HIV/Aids the skills to be decorative painters. The work they do is really too beautiful.
Man about town, uber designer Jamie Drake was one of the many guests that evening. He had just come in from a client's apartment where he was double checking everything before the client hosted a cocktail party - for which he had to leave the Alpha event to attend. That's dedication.

Great post Michael! I have always been most impressed with Alpha Workshops! Doesn't Jamie look sharp!!
Welcome to the blogging world! I'm a Las Vegas interior designer, author and blogger. I hope you find it as rewarding and inspirational as I have. I'm looking forward to reading about all of the fabulous design happenings in New York.
Oh...papers look amazing!
Another exciting New York design event! Only in New York, kids (or whatever it is that Cindy Adams says.)
