Oh! Christmas Tree

Updated 12/19/12
Due to our unhappy experience this year with Green Valley Christmas Tree I have been forced to pull the rave review I once gave the company.

Many regrets,

Michael

The tree loaded with favorite ornaments.
I have a collection of these clowns that I have cherished for years now. Sadly they are not standing the test of time well. Out of a dozen we have one complete one left.

My friend Suzanne had this made for me a couple of years ago. It has become one of my favorite ornaments.

Various meaningful ornaments collected over the years.

Dear Michael,

;)

Merry Christmas to you and Thomas!

(my theory is that love-hate relationships make the world go round...even if they are sometimes in tree form...)

Hope to catch up with you in the New Year! xo

Love that you are tenacious. Love that you bought a real tree. Or, several. Usually friends who live in the city tell me that they have started buying fake trees because they feel bad cutting real trees down. I am forever perplexed by the logic. Or lack thereof. If people stop buying real trees, farmers who have acres and acres of evergreens planted, will go out of business. Then those acres and acres of sustainable tree farms, instead of cleaning the air, will be sold to become housing developments, shopping centers, parking lots. So. I applaud you from my soap box and wish you a merry Christmas!

I am a fan of real trees. Even more so now I know I can order one online and arrives at the door! We have tree farms in country and it is really important to support them. There was just an article in the WSJ about it.

What a funny story. I too have a love/hate relationship with decorating for Christmas. Especially as I get older.
Still want it though. This year we ended up with 14 white hydrangeas in the house, leftover from daughter's wedding a week ago. Easy peasy. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas!

Easy is the only way to go. The tree in a box this year was amazing. First it disffused a long converstaion about which tree, while standing around in the cold. Second, like I said it comes in a box- so easy. Its the only way to go.
