Mark your calendars! Saturday April 18th the Village of Kinderhook, NY is hosting its first Spring Home & Garden Day! This exciting day long event is geared to the gardener and design enthusiast alike. The event is packed with great things to do and see all day long.
Amazing talks and demonstrations throughout the day are planned with great speakers from many different areas of home and garden. It starts off with the keynote presentation by Barbara Pierson of White Flower Farm and rolls along with Isabelle Bosquet, Stacey Bewkes, Amy Crane, Adam Jordan, Stuart Peckner, Thomas Burak, myself and several others on a diverse range of topics from creating stylish rooms to solar energy.
The Peckner will be one of the homes on the tour.
There is a fantastic historic house tour of five of Kinderhooks most notable homes from 12:30 to 5:00pm. This is a rare opportunity to see inside some of Columbia Counties finest examples of American architecture. The homes on tour offer a range of interior design styles that run the gamut from classic to eclectic. Tickets are $15.00 per person or $25.00 per couple.
What would a home and garden day be without shopping? I will be doing a fun Pop Up shop and book signing all day and again on Sunday in my shop space on the square. There will be a great range of must have home and tabletop accessories and of course a limited selection of over run fabrics from my collection on sale. The exquisite antique store NP Trent is not only hosting the afternoon lectures, but will be open form 9-5pm. Lindowen’s beautiful early country store will have a great selection of her fantastic scented candles along with her furniture and accessories. There is even a temporary Spring at Last Mini Bazaar with garden accessories, baskets, gently used books and birdhouses.
For art lovers the world renown Jack Shainman Gallery: The School will be exhibiting three works by Meleko Mokgosi & Status Quo, A group exhibit.
