Design on a Dime
The Design on a Dime opening night party was, without a doubt, the design event to be at last Thursday. Held at the Metropolitan Pavilion it offered designers a chance to design vignettes with donated merchandise from which the proceeds go directly to Housing Works, the nations largest grassroots AIDS service organization. This year they had over 50 designers contributed to the three day event.

The Week in Review
Wednesday night started off at John Rosselli’s chic East 61st Street showroom, with a party for his wife Bunny Williams new furniture collection, BeeLine Home. The pieces are so stylish and well priced that I left wanting to redo the place in Kinderhook from top to bottom.
The party was jammed with so many fun people and sadly too many to name, but here’s a few: James Andrew and his partner Scott, Carolyn Sollis, Virginia Tupker, John Robshaw, Carolina Irving, Michael Smith, Richard and Elaine Wrightman, Stephen Drucker, and of course Bunny and John.

Thursday night Thomas and I hosted a small birthday dinner for our friends Ronda Carman and Eddie Ross at our apartment on Gramercy Park. Needless to say, it was a riot of fun.

The oversized centerpiece was like having dinner in a beautiful Lilac garden.

Eddies gift wrap idea. Dollar Store contact paper, who knew?

Friday morning it was an early call. Ronda and Vincente Wolf were hosting a breakfast to annonce their new online partnership.

I was so happy to see my friend Michelle Adams of Rubie Green Textiles and to meet at long last, designer Tobi Fairley.

Designer Kristen McGinnis and designer/blogger James Andrew.
Friday night was of course the piece de la resistance. Amanda Nisbet hosted a swank party at her apartment for our friend Ronda Carman and her husband Chris. It was le nec plus ultra de chic. Everybody was there, which is no small feat in New York on a Friday night.
It was an unforgettable party with an amazingly fun group of people. Thank you Amanda, how did you do it on a weeks notice?
